Our Region 8 Transition Network Facilitator and TNF/Pre ETS Support Specialist have tools to serve teaching staff, agency partners, families and students. This service is provided at no cost to school districts and agency partners within the Region 8 Counties (Grant, Harney, Malheur, Morrow, Baker, Umatilla, Union and Wallowa). These services are being delivered virtual and in-person. Below, is a list of the training/facilitation topics and intended audience:

  • Group Facilitation/Planning Process
  • PATH - A group process to map out future goals and the steps to get there. Great for teams and programs to plan together. Approx. 3 hours needed.
  • Person Centered Plan - a student-centered group event to celebrate a student and their future goals, interests and strengths. Approx. 1.5-2 hours needed.
  • Transition Team, Educator and Para Trainings

Direct-Student Trainings

  • One-Page Profile - an activity to engage students in their preferences, interests, needs & strengths - 1 hour
  • Food Handlers Card Course - teaching through online course with exam - approx. half-day.
  • Driver's Permit Training - a run-through highlights of the permit manual with supported power points and discussion to prepare for the permit exam. Multiple sessions.
  • MEGI Motivational Enhancement Group Intervention: a 12 session class on goal setting, discovering needs and strengths and developing a future plan.
  • Train -the Trainer
  • Person-centered Planning Facilitator Training - 2 day course to train new facilitators to conduct student person-centered plans.
  • MEGI Interventionist Training - 3 day course spread over several months (one day a month) - this is a state-wide training done annually. Contact Lon for more details - usually starts in the fall of each year.
